Slovenia - Italy - Austria - Hungary
Day 1: AIRPORT-BLED-LJUBLJANA
We will leave Ljubljana Airport to see Bled, beautiful place with a small lake and an island. The sightseeing tour of charming Bled consists of a walk along the lakeshore and a visit of the imposing Castle dwell on a cliff high above the lake. In the evening we will return to hotel in Ljubljana, have dinner and sleepover
Day 2: LJUBLJANA – POSTOJNA – LIPICA - SEŽANA
After the breakfast we will begin a tour of Ljubljana by foot. During beautiful city walks you will discover and see the most significant sights in the old city part: the Three Bridges, the picturesque open food market, Robba's fountain, Baroque City Hall, churches and the symbol of Ljubljana - a mediaeval massive castle situated on a small hill above the city.
In the afternoon we will take the road to the Karst region of Slovenia. Our first stop will be Postojna where we will visit the world famous Postojna Cave, one of the largest caves in the world. We will take a tour with a small train to see the close up of the majestic subterranean world.
Then we will continue to drive to Lipica stud farm, where you will see the beautiful white Lipizzaner horses. In the evening we will have a dinner and sleepover in a hotel in Sežana.
Day 3: SEŽANA - VENICE - NOVA GORICA
After breakfast we will drive to Italy to see the gorgeous city of Venice. The walking tour of Venice will begin with seeing the St Mark's Square, then we will visit golden Basilica of San Marko, the Bridge of Sighs and the Doge's Palace. The rest of the day will be either free or you can decide to visit the famous Murano Island, known for its fine glasswork industry. Late in the afternoon we will return to Slovenia and have dinner and sleepover in a hotel in Nova Gorica.
Day 4: NOVA GORICA – SALZBURG - WIENNA
After early breakfast we will leave Slovenia and visit the neighboring country Austria. The drive will lead us through the beautiful Alps valises till we will reach the city of Salzburg. There we will have a sightseeing tour to see the birthplace of the great composer Wofgang Amadeus Mozart, the majestic Cathedral, famous Getriedergasse with its interesting shops and a beautiful castle.
In the afternoon we will continue driving along the Valley of the river Danub to Vienna, the city of Straus waltz. Dinner and sleepover.
Day 5: WIENNA
After breakfast we will have a morning sightseeing tour of Wienna that will include the Belvedere Palace, the Hofburg Palace, Parliament, Town Hall; moreover the old city part with St. Stephen's Cathedral and other reminders of the city's history. You will be able to spend the afternoon either for leisure or and will join an organized trip to Summer Empire’s residence Schoenbrun. Dinner will organized on request. Sleepover.
Day 6: WIENNA - BUDAPEST
On the sixth day we will travel to the East, cross the border to Austro – Hungarian border and continue the drive to Budapest, the city situated on the opposite bank of the Danube river. The former cities of Buda and Pest are linked by a series of graceful bridges. Your sightseeing tour will include the Gellert Hill with Citadel and a beautiful view on surroundings, visit to the Heroes' Square, the Parliament, the Royal Palace and the Castle Hill area, the Fisherman’s Bastion and the Matthias Church. The rest of the day will be free for individual city’s exploration (maybe on famous ''Vaci utca-street'').
We will have a dinner in a typical czardas restaurant. Sleepover.
Day 7: BUDAPEST - MARIBOR
After the breakfast we will leave the city Budapest. The road will take us to the West, near the Balaton Lake to Tihany, where we will have a stop to see the Hungarian sea. Afterwards we will continue to drive on the Panonian lowland to Prekmurje and Maribor, center of the North and East Slovenia. We will stop in the wine growing area, taste excellent local vine and food. Sleepover in Maribor.
Day 8: MARIBOR-LJUBLJANA- AIRPORT
After breakfast the transfer to the airport of your departure flight will be organized.
